Our product owner requested that we add a new feature to one of the previous designs, and I was responsible for designing it. To begin, I wrote a user story considering the needs and desires of users in this context. Then, I wrote an "HMW" statement to ensure that we could satisfy those needs.
First, I quickly sketched a low-fidelity design of the feature and showed it to my manager for approval before conducting user testing. When I say "quickly," I mean that I designed the feature without spending a lot of time changing components and the design system, I designed it like when we initial sketch.
I conducted a usability test of my designs with Maze on 24 users. I provided a scenario for the users and asked them to perform the task. However, after the test, I discovered that users had difficulty finding the first action to open the modal with a right-click on the card.
